Chad had court today. He was being charged with a class A misdemeanor but pled down to a class C for disorderly conduct. He gets to come back home and will have to complete a parenting class and do 10 hours community service. He will be in probation for six months. He won't have to do any jail time or pay a fine. Even though we knew we could win at trial we decided this would probably be the best to get everything over with. The kids will be so happy to have him back home. This has been really hard on them. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for us.

Glad it went well, and I am sure Chad and the kids are glad he is back home. It is really too bad the whole thing had to happen. I sometimes wonder if anyone in charge has common sense anymore!! The kids were really good today.
