With everything that has been going on the last few months, I haven't posted any pics so I thought I needed to. This first pic I took from my back porch. I thought it turned out pretty good.

The boys had their last soccer game in the middle of May. This was Jared's team. I think the coach sometimes forgot that these children were only 5.

Jared graduated from kindergarten and Anthony graduated from Head Start. For some reason the pics of Jared wouldn't upload.

Kaleigh learned how to ride her trike. She loves it.

Brock came down with Char and brought Olin to see us. They certainly look alike.

Kaleigh really likes Olin as long as I'm not holding him.

I took the kids up to mom and dad's to see the baby pigs. Gramps let the boys help him feed them.

I've been doing a little painting in my house. This is one of my walls that I've got finished.

We went up to my parents for Memorial day for a wienie roast and Daranee let the kids ride the horse with her.

Before we left for my parents the boys had already put their bikes in the back of the van. They also put Kaleigh's trike in too. Courtney had fun riding it with her.

This was taken at the Hawes family reunion. That's Chad's mom's family. Kaleigh had put two pieces of bubble gum in her mouth and could hardly chew it. Notice how bulgy her cheeks are.

Finally a positive post

Chad had court today. He was being charged with a class A misdemeanor but pled down to a class C for disorderly conduct. He gets to come back home and will have to complete a parenting class and do 10 hours community service. He will be in probation for six months. He won't have to do any jail time or pay a fine. Even though we knew we could win at trial we decided this would probably be the best to get everything over with. The kids will be so happy to have him back home. This has been really hard on them. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for us.

Lost faith in the judicial system

Chad had court on Friday. We went to the Matheson Court House. He plead not guilty and has his next court appearance on May 10th. The rules of Pre Trial Services include that he remove himself from the home and have no contact the the alleged victim (Jared). The judge upheld that rule and signed a no contact order so Chad had to move to his moms until this is over. I wonder if they really think about what they are doing when they make these decisions. Chad has been in the home for the last three months so to make him leave now is just ridiculous. The kids are upset by this. They really miss their dad. Jared has even started saying he misses his "daddy". For those who know Jared, he calls him "Chad" so for him to call him daddy is a big thing for me. I'll keep every one updated when we find out more. Thanks for all your support.

Another quick update

We have finally been able to get hold of Pre Trial Services. Chad has a court appearance on April 2nd at 9:00 am. They are going to recommend him for the program. The lady from there also said to have our lawyer petition for Chad to be able to stay in the home and they will agree with that. I'll keep you all updated but your prayers in our behalf would be greatly appreciated:)

Update on Chad

We found out on Thursday that Chad has a warrant out for his arrest. The way we found this out is we got several letters from lawyers stating it had come to their attention that he had a warrant and they would like to represent him. We still haven't received anything from the courts. We have retained a lawyer and he told us about a program that Chad can hopefully be accepted into in and he wouldn't have to pay bail. As of now we are looking at a $10,000 bail. He is being charged with a Class A misdemeanor for Child Abuse with Physical Injury. We were able to finally speak to someone from this agency today and if he is accepted into the program he will be required to take an anger management class and he will have to move out of the home with no contact with Jared at all. The lawyer can ask the judge to drop that but until that happened he would have to go live at his mom's house. This whole thing is just ridiculous. Basically he is guilty until proven innocent. I'll keep everyone updated as we learn more. All your prayers would be really helpful right now.

January Happenings

This month we celebrated Kaleigh's third birthday. I can't believe she is that old already. She is so smart. When Anthony started school this last fall she asked me if she could go and I told her when she was three she could. The day after her birthday she informed me she could go to preschool now because she was three. I'm grateful every day to have her and all my kids in my life. I don't know what I'd do without them.

Kaleigh got four wheeler for her birthday. It isn't one of the battery powered ones. Just feet powered. She still liked it though.

Kris and Lill gave her a Tinker Bell sleeping bag with an air mattress attached. She loved it.

The kids were actually getting along when I took this picture:)

We had Kaleigh's party for Chad's family a week after Kaleigh's birthday. She got a princess dress, play dough, an outfit and a quilt that Sherry had made for her. It was so cute. She loved the princess dress. She loves girly stuff. She got "lippy" from us and I think that was her favorite present. If you don't know what lippy is, it's lip gloss.

Grandma Hall is trying to help her put on the dress. I got the pictures backward.

We got party hats for her birthday and Jared thought it would be funny to make them into horns.

Brock and Morgan welcomed their little boy, Olin in early December. They blessed him on the 31st.

Isn't he cute:)

Parent's, Grand Parent's and Great Grand parents.

Three generations. Brett's dad couldn't make it that day.

Chad's dad passed away on January 12th. He had suffered from Lewy Body Dementia. It was so sad to loose him but we know that he is now happy and whole. He had lost his eye sight and struggled everyday from the dementia. I'm so glad we have the plan of salvation so that we know that we will see him again someday.

Happy Holiday's

We had alot of fun over the holiday season. We made Christmas cookies (18 dozen) and were able to give most of them away to neighbors and friends. The kids had so much fun decorating the house and loved having the Christmas light on.

These were taken at the family Christmas party. The reason we don't have one for Kaleigh is that she wouldn't sit on his lap.

Frosting cookies.

Christmas Eve. They were opening their pj's and then put them on.

Jared got a new dump truck and a camera.

Anthony got a scooter and a monster truck.

Kaleigh got a doll house from Santa and was so excited.

Kaleigh got pony's from Anthony and he got a transformer "Bumble Bee" from her.

This was before we got cleaned up.

The day after Christmas we went up to Charlene's to go sleigh riding. There wasn't enought snow the actually sled but we had fun anyway. Brock and Morgan were there with their new baby Olin. Kaleigh really likes him as long as I'm not holding him:)

Cole with Olin.

On the 29th we went down to Temple Square with Lill's family to meet Courtney's boyfriend Austin.

This is Darin and Kurtis with Kurtis' friend Matt.

I love all the lights.

This is a picture of the Christus Statue from outside.

This was the last picture taken before all the chaos started. For those who don't know, when we got back to the train we had missed the 9:27 train by just a few minutes. There was a train there but it didn't leave until 10:27. Jared started running up and down the isles, jumping off of benches and pushing the buttons on the doors to open and close them. Chad sat Jared down several times and then Jared kicked Kayden a couple of times. Lill suggested that we take him off the train to run around outside and apparently Chad got mad and thumped Jared in the head. None of us saw this but I guess a lady on the train didn't like it and called the cops. Chad was taken off the train and questioned. They pulled me and the kids off the train so it could leave. They continued questioning us and finally released us so we could make the last train home. Needless to say, we now have DCFS investigating us. They came the next night and pulled Kayden from our home. This whole this has been a nightmare.
