Happy Holiday's

We had alot of fun over the holiday season. We made Christmas cookies (18 dozen) and were able to give most of them away to neighbors and friends. The kids had so much fun decorating the house and loved having the Christmas light on.

These were taken at the family Christmas party. The reason we don't have one for Kaleigh is that she wouldn't sit on his lap.

Frosting cookies.

Christmas Eve. They were opening their pj's and then put them on.

Jared got a new dump truck and a camera.

Anthony got a scooter and a monster truck.

Kaleigh got a doll house from Santa and was so excited.

Kaleigh got pony's from Anthony and he got a transformer "Bumble Bee" from her.

This was before we got cleaned up.

The day after Christmas we went up to Charlene's to go sleigh riding. There wasn't enought snow the actually sled but we had fun anyway. Brock and Morgan were there with their new baby Olin. Kaleigh really likes him as long as I'm not holding him:)

Cole with Olin.

On the 29th we went down to Temple Square with Lill's family to meet Courtney's boyfriend Austin.

This is Darin and Kurtis with Kurtis' friend Matt.

I love all the lights.

This is a picture of the Christus Statue from outside.

This was the last picture taken before all the chaos started. For those who don't know, when we got back to the train we had missed the 9:27 train by just a few minutes. There was a train there but it didn't leave until 10:27. Jared started running up and down the isles, jumping off of benches and pushing the buttons on the doors to open and close them. Chad sat Jared down several times and then Jared kicked Kayden a couple of times. Lill suggested that we take him off the train to run around outside and apparently Chad got mad and thumped Jared in the head. None of us saw this but I guess a lady on the train didn't like it and called the cops. Chad was taken off the train and questioned. They pulled me and the kids off the train so it could leave. They continued questioning us and finally released us so we could make the last train home. Needless to say, we now have DCFS investigating us. They came the next night and pulled Kayden from our home. This whole this has been a nightmare.

Halloween

Last week was a fun filled week getting ready for Halloween. On Monday night we frosted cookies for FHE. I think the kids ate more frosting than actually went on the cookies.

On Thursday night we carved pumpkins. The kids chose their own faces to go on the pumpkin. Kaleigh chose Mickey Mouse, Jared chose a bat in the moon and Anthony chose a happy face. The Mickey Mouse was really hard. It had a lot of little fine lines to cut out.

This is Jared with his teacher, Mrs. Wood.

Chad's dad is in a nursing home now and they had trick or treating there. We took the kids over to trick or treat and then visited with Earl for a little while.

On Saturday we went to Granny and Gramps. Kris made her spaghetti and even made the noodles orange. The kids all put on their costumes. It is always fun to see the kids dress up.

Granny, Kurtis the hippie and Princess Kaleigh.

Princess Kaleigh and Lady Liberty Courtney.

Meagan is here for a few weeks. Rhone looked so cute in his Zebra costume.

Kris even got into the festivities. She dressed up as Tracy Turnblad from the movie Hairspray.

All the kids dressed up.

Kaleigh and Rhone. She likes him as long as I'm not holding him.

Anthony wanted to be a T-Rex. I look everywhere for one and couldn't find one. I finally found this one and convinced him that it was a T-Rex.

Anthony and Kaleigh.

Princess Kaleigh. She told me what she wanted to be this year. She is just getting to big for her britches.

Jared had wanted to be a black bear but I couldn't find a costume. We had this one down stairs and he decided that he would wear it.

This was the kids waiting to go trick or treating.

Mom and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary

On September 4, 2009 my parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. We had a celebration the next day at Kristanne's. Cole and Herb were also able to come home. The only one's not there were Meagan, Ben and Rhone who are now in Deleware and Brock's wife Morgan. We had a good turn out of close friends and family. Dad even had a friend come from California. It turned out to be a wonderful evening.

Anthony's first day of school

Anthony started school on Tuesday. He was so excited.

I am watching Kayden for a couple of days . I was on the phone and the kids were playing in Kaleigh's room. When I checked on them they had taken a bottle of baby powder and got it everywhere. They had so much all over them that I had to give them both baths.
I took this picture from the parking lot of Anthony's school. I love how the rays of sun shine through the clouds. I just wish the cars and street light's weren't in the pic.
